How this plugs in. Executes the creator-seeding lane of
the marketing plan: opt-in DMs first (never ship cold), kits in creators' hands by mid-August, posts landing around launch. The kit shot for the DM is studio frame C5 on
the July 13 shot list. Timeline: DMs start Jul 15 (Week 2 of
the content calendar); accepted kits ship the week of Aug 5.
Screen before every send — the 30-post test. Open the candidate's last 30 posts. Disqualify on sight: Disney/character content, coupon-code culture, neon-bright grids, engagement-bait captions. The research flagged that "family travel" search results are ~80% points-and-deals accounts — the keyword matches, the customer doesn't. Also: FTC rules apply to gifts — when you DM, say plainly "no obligation, and if you do post, just tag it #gifted." Requiring disclosure protects you both and reads as confidence.
Wave 1 · DM these seven first
The best-fit cluster (family-travel-native, muted-editorial, small enough that a founder DM gets read)
Wave 2 · The bench
Workhorse tiers (fill the 25-kit budget from here as Wave 1 responses land)
10–50K — highest gifting acceptance
50–150K — the workhorse middle
150–500K — choose selectively (gifting economics thin out up here)
Tier-1 anchors — later phase, small-batch, post-launch
The outreach
Ask-first DM scripts (from Haley's account, personalized per send — the ⟨slot⟩ is mandatory, it's what gets replies)
Script A — the standard ask (Waves 1–2)
Hi ⟨name⟩ — I'm Haley. My husband and I are launching Iverywhere on Sept 1: coordinating travelwear for families (the vest you'd live in + the kids' version in the same fabric — coordinated, never matchy). Your ⟨specific post/trip — name it: "Positano photos from May," "the muted capsule you did for spring"⟩ is exactly the world we're building for. Could we send ⟨kid's name if public, else "your little one"⟩ our toddler sunglasses + hat before we launch? Zero obligation — if you love them and post, just tag #gifted; if they're not right, they make a great gift. Can I get your size and address?
Script B — the travel-native variant (family-travel accounts)
Hi ⟨name⟩ — Haley here, mom of three and co-founder of Iverywhere (launching Sept 1). We make travelwear for families who pack one palette — it started on a Sydney trip with three girls under five. I've followed your ⟨destination⟩ guides for ages and they're the register we aspire to. Any upcoming trips with ⟨kids⟩? We'd love to send our kids' sun kit (sunglasses with a strap that actually stays on + a hat that packs flat) before you go. No strings — tag #gifted only if you genuinely like them.
Script C — the venue/partner variant (@tinytravelship-type accounts)
Hi — Haley from Iverywhere (coordinating family travelwear, launching Sept 1, made with Como-milled fabric). Your hotel curation is exactly where our customer already books. Two thoughts: we'd love to send a kids' sun kit for your own travels — and separately, if you ever feature launch brands your community would care about, we'd love to talk. Either, both, or just keep doing what you do.
Follow-up rules: one bump after 7 days ("floating this up — no worries either way"), then done. When a kit ships, include the founders' card + a handwritten line referencing the same specific post from the DM. When a post lands: comment warmly from the brand account, re-share to Stories, log it — never ask for more. The second gift (post-launch, a vest for them) goes only to the ones who posted unprompted.
The tracking sheet (one row per candidate — keep it in Notes/Sheets; or tell me the responses and I'll maintain it here)
Finding more (the founders' mining list, from the research)
- Highest yield: the tagged-photo feeds of @quincymae, @ryleeandcru, @jamiekayclothing, @mishaandpuff, @minnow — moms those brands re-gram are pre-vetted for your palette. Note who tags #gifted.
- #toddlerstyle / #kidsootd (filter hard for muted palettes) · #motherhoodunplugged · #letthembelittle · the @eyemamaproject photographer-mom community.
- Location pages of specific $500+/night family-friendly hotels — real guests, young kids, good grids.
